UML for Business Analysts focuses on the part of the UML most relevant to the business analyst. It looks at the models suitable for modelling business processes (activity diagrams), system requirements (use case models and descriptions), business rules and structure (class models) and business states (state chart diagrams). The course concentrates on practical application and the development of usable templates.
The course is delivered by trainers who bring their substantial practical experience to the programme. For an on-site audience the course can either be run using a realistic case study, or can be used as a workshop to focus on and develop the outlines of a real business case - using the delegates' own projects as a basis for the practical exercises.
A comprehensive manual, containing detailed information about UML techniques and providing references for further reading, is supplied as part of the course.
