Financial Learning - About AMT

History

Pioneers in financial learning

Known in the finance industry as AMT, the firm meets the training needs of premier investment banks and financial institutions worldwide from offices in the US, the UK, and Mumbai with representatives in Bangkok and Milan.

Adkins Matchett & Toy was co-founded in 1997 by Kathleen Adkins, Dr. Norman Toy and Alastair Matchett, who together pioneered highly effective learning methods that meet the unique needs of finance professionals.

AMT is now a member of The Matchett Group. In 2002 Adkins Matchett & Toy UK merged with John Matchett Ltd., forming The Matchett Group. In 2005 Matchett acquired Adkins Matchett & Toy US.

In 2007, The Matchett Group (including AMT) sold 80% of its ownership to the CLT Group (part of the Wilmington Group plc), the major specialist and market-leading professional training provider.

With The Matchett Group having experienced unprecedented success and growth in the past five years, the acquisition of the majority stake in the organisation by the CLT Group provides it with an excellent opportunity to take the organisation to the next level and dramatically extends its resource base.

It will provide significant benefits for clients of both Matchett & CLT.

Alastair Matchett continues to be actively involved in the firm.
