The higher the reward the better the performance, but new research says that once you get above rudimentary cognitive skills it’s the other way around!
Weird socialist conspiracy? Well, the notoriously left wing socialist group that financed this research is… the Federal Reserve Bank (gasp!) It appears that for simple straight-forward tasks monetary rewards work great but when a task gets more complicated and requires some conceptual, creative thinking those motivators don’t work.
