When leaders are faced with implementing change in the workplace they are looking at a tough job. Employees can become distracted, confused, angry, stressed-out, not to mention afraid for their jobs, all of which can result in lowered morale and decreased performance. How can a leader successfully implement change while still maintaining employee motivation and productivity?
In order to restore balance, productivity and profitability, leaders need a potent strategy. Supporting People Through Change introduces that strategy along with practical tools each leader can apply to current or future changes in their work environment.
Participants will gain from a variety of learning strategies; discussion, observing themselves and others, active participation, review and assessment of individual skill, role-play, group brainstorming, learning how to apply theory and models.
This course helps learners to:
- Appreciate the issues involved in implementing and managing change.
- Identify the types of change, while recognising barriers to them and developing strategies to overcome them.

- Implement change whilst experiencing it themselves.

- When to listen, when to push, when to challenge fixed beliefs.
- How personality type and values and beliefs affect the transition smoothly.
- Building empathy and active listening.
- Supporting or positively challenging staff undergoing change.
- Managing others – We explore a leaders’ responsibilities during change.
- The nature of resistance and how to overcome it.
- Choices people make during the change process.
- Practical strategies for managing others while undergoing change ourselves.
- Change in action – using a simple 7 step process, produces clear and workable goals and actions.
