Session Details
Overview
Psychologist, Therapist, Mind Reader, Conflict Manager, Performance Evaluator, Coach, Juggler, Motivator, Diplomat and even Parent in some unique cases!
These are an example of some words that may describe what a manager in business does on a day to day basis. To say the least it’s a varied role.
One of the most challenging aspects of a manager’s life is to bring about real team cohesion by sometimes having to deal with difficult personalities. It is quite remarkable how much negative influence one member of staff can have on the remainder of the team. As a result “one bad apple” can create a very undesirable environment.
However, these individuals, who are sometimes labelled “bad apples”, can have a truly positive impact on others. You just need to learn how to redirect and focus their energies into promoting a healthier team dynamic.
Format
This engaging and inspiring session will enable you, as the manager, to arrive at tangible strategies for addressing difficult staff behaviour allowing for a more productive and motivated team.
Influencing and giving tough feedback strategies will be introduced. It is important that all attendees witness that these strategies have a desirable effect in real world terms, therefore the consultant will demonstrate the finer workings of these approaches within this session.
As a result of applying these strategies you will observe the following benefits for both yourself (the manager) and your staff.
Benefits
You will be:
- More self aware of your default behaviours
- Emotionally stronger when dealing with difficult staff
- More confident in your approach when giving feedback
