Time is a constant, but how many people feel that time is also a problem?
This short workshop focuses on balancing time with priorities, while exploring gaps that occur between the desired and current situations. Initially via a popular time management tool, learners prove the theory that effective time management is all about their own motivations, as well as understanding the motivations and relationships that exist between an employee and their colleagues / clients.
The solution to an individual’s time management difficulties is rarely the latest time management gadgetry. That usually just covers up the underlying problems.
This course often runs alongside ‘The Assertive No’ course. A key part of the output of this course is the ability to challenge assertively, when people attempt to delegate work inappropriately. This is shared between these two workshops.
This course will help learners to:
- Know what they want and achieve it!
- Be more assertive in optimising the use of time
- Change the way they operate at work
- Sleep easy at night
- Apply techniques to aid understanding of the motivations of colleagues and clients
- Apply techniques for understanding self-motivation and the emotional response to challenges that challenge
- Prioritise key tasks to ensure that business critical work is achieved and business planning is scheduled and managed
- Define what’s important and pushing back on what is not
- Create a personal strategy to change unhelpful habits
