You are going to write, rehearse, promote and put on a public performance. At this point you have no venue, no audience, no script, no scenery or costumes. But by Curtain’s Up, you will have!
By the end of this event, you will:
- Appreciate different styles of team working and the relative strengths of each approach
- Gain a greater understanding of your preferred style of working and the impact you have on other team members
- Develop ideas and plans for helping the team to achieve its full potential
- Be able to analyse how your communication styles are helping or hindering your ability to work as a team
- Know how you manage conflict and change under pressure
- Create personal learning plans for improving yourself and your team
This event draws on reserves of creativity, leadership and teamwork, as well as more obviously a high degree of courage, risk-taking and sheer hard work. Teams which experience it find it builds an emotional bond, and unlocking the creative sides of your team’s personalities can be liberating.
As ever, the observers are there to encourage and support as well as to help the team to look at what the implication is for the team back at work.
