Support Services

Matchett are experts in performing the logistical activities which are required to successfully schedule, resource, and deliver a learning event.

Underpinning the logistical activities are the key objectives of ensuring costs are controlled, savings are achieved where possible and that the event enhances the participants learning experience.

Whilst good administrative skills are core to a logistical service, learning management also requires many of the competencies normally found in a project manager. Matchett recognises this distinction and has taken steps to build this expertise in our Client Services Team.

Included in the cost of your learning event are the following services:

  • Resourcing of trainers
  • Trainer Travel & Accommodation Bookings
  • Pre Course Assessments
  • Course Material Production and Despatch
  • Event Evaluation

It is the responsibility of the Matchett Client Services team to:

  • Resource an experienced and suitably qualified trainer to deliver your event
  • Book the trainers travel and accommodation at optimum rates, in line with our expenses policy
  • Print and despatch course materials to a nominated contact at the training venue, at least 48 hours before the start of the course
  • Send any pre course assessments to the participants prior to the event start date and collate any results
  • Ensure all participants receive a Matchett event evaluation form and that completed forms are collated and the results entered into our Learning Management System.
  • Administer all exam registrations and results in accordance with procedures and timeframes of the awarding bodies e.g. APM
  • Email invoices no later then the final day of the event or by first class post (if requested). Our invoices will clearly state: Client name, client purchase order number if applicable, event name, date of event, location & trainer name.
  • Email invoices for agreed trainer expenses no later than 2 calendar months from the final day of the event.

We can also provide the following services for an additional fee:

  • Administer participant bookings and optimise training schedules by:
    • Setting up a dedicated phone number and email account for participants.
    • Issue participants with booking confirmations, booking reminders & joining instructions.
    • Ensure event fill rates are tracked and targets for minimum number of participants are achieved or succeeded in order to optimise the cost of training per head.
  • Manage event wait lists by:
    • Tracking common learning requirements across your business (through bookings as well as waitlists)
    • Adopting an “intelligent” approach to the scheduling of in-house courses, based on known demand
  • Sourcing suitable venues for your learning events
  • Support cost management by:
    • Invoicing for the total learning programme investment in advance & call off your events against this pre payment.
    • Providing you with detailed monthly payment schedules so spend can be monitored.
    • Capture and report on participant no show
  • Provide detailed management information on areas such as:
    • Event attendance.
    • Event feedback.
    • Actual and projected spend.
